Dr. Harsha Jauhari, a Kidney Transplant Surgeon, is recognized as the best in his field. He has performed what is likely to be India's greatest series of renal transplants and C.A.P.D. catheter insertions, totaling almost 6,000 and 3,500 respectively.

More than 200 of his own publications, surgical innovations, and lectures on the topic of transplantation have been presented at national and international forums.

Over the last several years, efforts have been made to increase awareness about organ donation and the ethics and laws surrounding transplantation. Renal transplant surgery programs in three states were all launched by Dr. Harsha Jauhari, who is considered a pioneer in the field.

Dr. Harsha Jauhari is an active participant in the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare's different expert Committees. There is a need to educate dialysis doctors, transplant surgeons, and transplant coordinators, and establish a national organ transplant program, among other things.

W.H.O. and GATT also have committees that make policies on medical tourism and the free movement of healthcare workers.

He is a participant in India's National Patient Safety Implementation Framework's Expert Core Group (2018-2025).

With the goal of spreading the word about organ donation, the Director General of Health Services nominated Dr. Harsha Jauhari as the Organizing Secretary for the public activities of World Organ Donation Day, which took place in November 2010 at India Gate in New Delhi.

To train the National Transplant Organization of Spain in Madrid in 2011, he was the sole non-government member of a team of six led by the Director General of Health Services.

As evidence of the high regard in which he is held by his peers, he was chosen President of The Delhi Nephrology Society for 2007–2008 despite the fact that he specializes in transplant surgery.

Finally, it is safe to say that Dr. Harsha Jauhari has made significant contributions as a clinician and a teacher in the area of transplant surgery. When it comes to transplantation law and ethics, he is widely regarded as an authority.

• He has spent the last 31 years as the head of the renal transplant surgery department at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in New Delhi and as a senior consultant there.
