He attended the famed Medical Pt BD Sharma Medical College in Rohtak, where he earned his MBBS and MS in General Surgery. Also, he spent three years studying surgical oncology at the Institute Rotary Cancer Hospital (IRCH) at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi.
