He has successfully performed more than 350 spine surgeries annually and has managed over 3,000 OPD spine patients. 

His expertise covers a range of spinal conditions, including cervical and lumbar disc replacements, lumbar discectomies, vertebractomies, spinal trauma reconstruction, spinal deformities, and spinal tumors. 

Dr. Rajagopalan is committed to documenting patient outcomes thoroughly, requiring all patients to complete international protocols such as the Oswestry Disability Index and the Canadian Neck Disability Index, alongside his own Spinal Deformity Protocol.

He was invited by Apollo colleagues to perform complex spinal surgeries on patients turned down by other hospitals, his success with these challenging cases inspired him to remain in Delhi, declining a senior consultant role in the UK. 

Moreover, he was trained specialist registrars from the Mersey Rotation and joined Indraprastha Apollo Hospital as a Senior Consultant in Orthopedics, where he established a comprehensive spine service.
