Dr. Rajesh Sharma is regarded as one of the most outstanding pediatric cardiothoracic surgeons in Delhi because of the acclaim he has received for his extensive experience and ability.

AIIMS in New Delhi is where Dr. Sharma earned his master's degree in general surgery as well as his master's degree in cardiothoracic and vascular surgery.

He has received training in the Ventricular Assist Device at Berkeley, which is located in the United States. The Children's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, and the May Ann Knight Hospital for Children in Miami, Florida, both in the United States, were the locations where he completed his fellowship in pediatric cardiovascular surgery.

Up to the year 2001, Dr. Sharma held the position of additional professor at AIIMS in New Delhi, where he was responsible for both teaching and training.

Between the years 2001 and 2007, he worked as the Senior Consultant of Cardiac Surgery at the Narayana Hrudayalaya in Bangalore.

He has served as a mentor to a large number of cardiac surgery trainees who are now independently practicing their craft in various regions of India and the subcontinent. Additionally, he is the author of a number of works.
