Dr. S. Bharti is the founder, chairman, and medical director of Bharti Eye Foundation in New Delhi, where he has led a dedicated team of professionals for over two decades.

His academic journey began with an M.B.B.S. degree with Honors from S.N. Medical College, Agra, and continued with a postgraduate degree from the same institution in 1981. During his residency, he was honored with the best house officer award. 

He also expanded his horizons by working as a clinical assistant with Mr. J.J. Kanski and Mr. R. Hitchings in the UK before establishing his private practice in 1984.

As an ophthalmologist turned anterior segment surgeon, he specializes in Cataracts, Corneal Diseases, and Refractive Surgery. His expertise extends to running a certified LASIK training center, where he has successfully trained surgeons from the Asia-Pacific region. 

He runs a charitable institution "Keshav Sagar Eye Research Foundation" for the underprivileged providing free eye care services. He is associated with Rotary for their free cataract surgery "Gift of Sight" campaign.

• MBBS: Sarojini Naidu Medical College, Agra in 1978.
• MS: Ophthalmology - Sarojini Naidu Medical College, Agra in 1981.

• Dr. S. Bharti is the founder and managing director of Bharti Eye Foundation, New Delhi, and Bharti Eye Hospital, New Delhi. 
• He worked as a clinical assistant with Dr. J. J. Kanski and then with Dr. R. Hitchings in the UK.

Career Highlights

• He has been part of many instruction courses and live surgery sessions on Lasik and phaco-emulsification throughout the country.
• He has been a faculty in instruction courses at national and international meetings and on the evaluation panel for Excimer Laser, Phaco accessories, Accommodative Intraocular lenses, Lasik instruments, and Blades.
• Dr S Bharti has presented over 50 original papers at various national and international conferences including the American Academy of Ophthalmology, ASCRS, ESCRS, Korean SCRS, and APAO.

• Dr. S Bharti has been awarded the “Krishna Sohan Singh Trophy” in 2010.

• He has been honored with the “PS Hardia Award” in 2006.
• He has also been honored  “Dr. T. Agarwal Gold Medal” in 2004.
• He was awarded the “Best House Officer Award” during his Residency.
