Dr. S. Radhakrishnan is a renowned pediatric cardiologist with four decades of expertise. He has successfully performed many heart surgeries on youngsters.

His report of Balloon Dilatation of the Atrial Septum in the Transposition of Great Vessels and Coil Closure of PDA in India was the first of its kind, making him a medical pioneer.

After four years of study, he received his medical degree from Maulana Azad College in 1980. In 1984, he earned his MD from Delhi University, and in 1987, he earned his DM (Cardiology) from AIIMS, New Delhi.

In 1993 and 1994, he completed a specialized residency program at Guys Hospital in London, United Kingdom. In 1990, he spent three weeks as a Visiting Fellow at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

Coil closure of PDA, balloon valvuloplasties, cardiac catheterization, echocardiography, and angiography are all areas in which he excels.

With others, he has written extensively studied publications for scholarly journals on a variety of topics related to cardiac surgery.
