Dr. Shyam Sunder Bansal is a distinguished cardiologist with over 30 years of experience. 

He has performed more than 35,000 surgical procedures, including 10,000 angioplasties, and treated over 3,500 international patients with vascular diseases and complex heart conditions.

Dr. Bansal has provided exceptional care to over 200,000 patients with heart conditions.

He was one of the first cardiologists in India to implant a coated pacemaker in a patient allergic to titanium, the metal traditionally used for pacemakers. Due to this allergy, the pacemaker dislodged from the patient’s body three times until a coated device was introduced.

In 2002, he established a cardiac center where successful procedures, such as bypass surgery, angioplasty, and other heart surgeries, are regularly performed. 

Dr. Bansal also pioneered the use of the Protacta combo device in India, a sophisticated device that prevents sudden death and improves heart function in patients with severe heart failure.

Additionally, he has successfully treated a rare case of femoral vein angioplasty with stenting, a procedure seldom performed worldwide. This involved opening a long-standing obstruction of the inferior vena cava (IVC), which was causing liver cirrhosis due to Budd-Chiari syndrome, through angioplasty and stenting.
