Dr. Smita Malhotra is a pediatric gastroenterologist with more than 15 years of experience at Apollo Hospital in Delhi. She has extensive experience in the field of paediatric liver transplantation, having overseen and evaluated over 250 such procedures. Even infants weighing only 3-4 kg have undergone these transplants after developing acute or chronic liver failure due to a wide range of metabolic liver disorders. 

In addition to working with kids who have celiac disease, she treats kids with malabsorption, acute and chronic diarrhoea, failure to thrive, inflammatory bowel disease, pancreatic disorders, vomiting, pain in the abdomen, constipation, and functional gastrointestinal disorders. 

In addition to routine diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures and manometry services, we also offer emergency endoscopic services for things like foreign body removal, upper and lower GI bleed, and corrosive ingestion. She has dealt with a wide variety of difficult medical cases, earning praise for her precision in diagnosis and compassionate care for her patients.
