Born in 1955, he received his MD (Medicine) from Rohtak in 1981 and his DM (Cardiology) from AIIMS in 1983. Following these academic accomplishments, he was named Consultant Cardiologist at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in 1985, where he worked till 1988.
