She received advanced training in anterior segment surgery at institutions such as the Susrut Eye Foundation and Research Center, Venu Eye Institute and Research Center, and Chandraprabha Eye Hospital. 

Dr. Tulika also served as an academic in charge, overseeing the education of undergraduate and postgraduate students. 

Moreover, she worked as a visiting consultant in corneal services at Johannes Gutenberg University before joining the Center for Sight.
