His educational background includes an MBBS from BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad, an MS in  Orthopedics from BJ Medical College, Ahmedabad, and a Fellowship in AO Basic, London, UK.

His areas of special interest lie in Joint Replacement Surgery, Knee Replacement, Knee Braces for Osteoarthritis, Heat Therapy Treatment, Joints and Musculoskeletal Disorders, Rotator Cuff Injury Treatment, and Primary Hip and Knee Arthroplasty.

He set a world record by completing 3000 joint replacement surgeries in 2008.

Dr. Shah and his team currently conduct more than 800 primary joint replacements monthly, with over 150,000 surgeries to his credit.
