Dr. Raina was the Professor and Head of Medical Oncology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) in New Delhi, India.

Dr. Vinod Raina is a cancer specialist who treats breast, lung, digestive tract, urinary tract, gynecological, lymphoma, and myeloma patients.

Dr. Vinod Raina has conducted about 400 bone marrow or stem cell transplants for different malignancies. During his 24 years at AIIMS, he led over 50 research initiatives as the primary investigator.

The INDOX network was founded in part by Dr. Vinod Raina. Nearly seventy AIIMS residents and DM students have reached prominent positions in India and beyond under his tutelage.

  • Dr. Vinod Raina is the current Director and Head of Medical Oncology and Haematology at FMRI. He first joined the institute in 2013.
  • From 2001 till 2013, he taught medical oncology at AIIMS as a professor.
  • From 2007 to 2013, he served as head of AIIMS's Oncology division as its head of department.
  • From 2001 to 2004, he oversaw the cancer center at the Royal Hospital in Muscat.

  • With 40 years of practice, Dr. Vinod Raina has established himself as a leading medical oncologist in India.
  • Over the last 20 years, Indian doctors have performed around 600 transplants and 250 allotransplants as part of cancer therapy.
  • The first high-dose chemotherapy in India was conducted by him as well.
  • For the most part, he focuses on treating cancers of the lung, prostate, and breast, as well as focusing on concurrent bio-radiotherapy for head and neck cancers, pediatric chemotherapy, and palliative bio-chemotherapy.
