About Doctor

Dr. Vipul Gupta has more than 22 years of expertise as a neuro-interventional surgeon, making him a national and international leader in India.

He has extensive experience in the fields of AVM embolization, intracranial aneurysm embolization, tumor embolization, and angioplasty and is widely regarded as one of India's top interventional neurologists.

In addition to his extensive experience with endovascular treatment of intracranial aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations, he has also performed over 300 brain AVM treatments, over 1000 intracranial aneurysms, and over 100 DAVF surgeries.

Dr. Gupta has spent years studying the endovascular treatment of neurological and spinal problems from some of the world's most prominent neurosurgeons, who taught him how to perform a variety of neuro-interventional operations at notable facilities.

Dr. Vipul Gupta received his education and experience in Interventional Neuroradiology at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi, where he later served as an Associate Professor till 2005.

He did postdoctoral work at the Cleveland Clinic in the United States and the Foundation Rothschild in Paris (1999).

UMass General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, is fortunate to have Dr. Gupta as a visiting professor.

Embolization (coiling) of intracranial aneurysms, AVMs, tumor embolization, carotid stenting, angioplasty, and intra-arterial thrombolysis for stroke are all areas in which he excels.

He received the IMA Award in 2006 and the IMA Academy of Medical Specialties Award in 2007. He was also named one of the "Top 10 Young Surgeons" in Hindustan Times.
