He specializes in adult nephrology, chronic kidney disease (CKD), Hemodiafiltration (HDF), Hemodialysis, Kidney Dialysis, Kidney Failure Treatment, Kidney Stone Treatment, Kidney Transplantation, and Laparoscopic Nephrectomy.

Dr. Mishra was honored as the Star Performer Consultant at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital. 

He is recognized for conducting the first kidney Transplant at the Indian Armed Forces Hospital.

After taking premature retirement from the Army Medical Corps at the rank of Colonel, he established the Department of Nephrology at Escorts Research and Referral Hospital.
