Dr. Arvinder Singh Soin has worked in the medical field for the last 35 years, making him one of the most experienced liver transplant surgeons and hepatobiliary surgeons in India.

Over the course of his career, he has successfully completed over 2500 liver transplants in India in addition to doing over 12000 more challenging liver, gall bladder, and bile duct procedures.

Some of the conditions in which they specialize include liver cancer, cirrhosis, cancer of the bile duct, cancer of the gallbladder, biliary stricture, liver cysts, liver metastases, and biliary atresia.

He has a Fellowship in General Surgery from the Royal College of Edinburgh, which is located in the United Kingdom.

In addition to this, he was given control of the Institute for Liver Transplantation, which was the very first facility of its type in Asia and one of the very few worldwide.

In recognition of his efforts to establish an all-encompassing liver transplant program in India in 2010, the President of India bestowed upon him the Padma Shri honor.

Member of a number of illustrious organizations, including the Association of Surgeons of India, the British Transplantation Society, the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and the Indian Society of Organ Transplantation, amongst others.
