He performed India’s first heart transplant, a milestone achievement in the field of cardiac surgery. 

Dr. Das has successfully performed more than 20,000 heart surgeries and pioneered aneurysm surgery in North India, significantly advancing cardiac surgical capabilities in the region. 

He performs around 800 surgeries annually, treating complex heart conditions with care and precision.

Dr. Das is also proficient in aortic valve surgery, congenital heart surgery, angioplasty, cardiomyopathy, and treating conditions like holes in the heart, sepsis, and pericardial effusion.

He played a pivotal role in establishing the heart surgery program at the Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences.
