Dr. Narender Kumar Magu is a nationally and internationally known orthopedic surgeon who pioneered "hip preservation/reconstruction/proximal femoral osteotomies" in treating different hip problems and "Pelvi-acetabular fractures".

A significant portion of his academic career was spent developing the super-specialty of "Hip Preservation" at the Pt. B D Sharma Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences in Rohtak, Haryana (India). Under his guidance, the Department of Orthopedics has become a "Centre of Excellence" and a well-established center for the super-specialty above.

For a few years, the Indian Orthopaedic Association has delegated fellows to the Department of Orthopaedics to work with Dr. Magu and learn the management of "Pelvi-acetabular fractures and Hip Preservation Procedures."

Dr. Magu's goal has been to reach every corner of the globe to emphasize "Hip Preservation Surgery" with his presentations on "proximal femoral osteotomies," which have a rich follow-up of more than 25 years promoting biological procedures for various hip disorders.

The management of pelvi-acetabular fractures using a modified KL approach as an isolated approach or as part of combined surgical approaches.
