Dr. Ramji Mehrotra is regarded as one of India's best cardiac and vascular surgeons with over 28 years of experience.

He has performed over 15,000 Cardiovascular Surgeries and 1,000 pediatric surgeries successfully.

Dr. Mehrotra specializes in pediatric cardiac surgeries, valvular disease, septal defects, beating heart surgery, and total artery coronary artery bypass grafting.

He has made significant contributions to cardiac surgery, establishing the total arterial revascularization program using bilateral mammary arteries at Fortis Escorts Heart Institute. 

Dr. Ramji Mehrotra also performed the first minimal incision OPCAB total arterial revascularization at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals and completed the first arterial switch operation in Mumbai. 

Additionally, he started the Paediatric Cardiac Surgery program at Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals and set up the Paediatric Cardiac Surgery facility at Asian Heart Institute, advancing pediatric cardiac care in India.

Dr. Mehrotra was the first doctor in India to perform an Arterial Switch Operation and Total Arterial CABG on a 10-year-old, obtaining him the title of “Best Cardiac Surgeon”.

One of his notable achievements, Dr. Mehrotra has performed Bypass Surgery without having any cut on leg or arm which is very rare.
