Dr. Ravi Shankar is a renowned Neurosurgeon with over 19 years of experience.

He is currently the Director of Neurosurgery at Medanta - The Medicity, Gurgaon. In his final year at VIMSAR, Dr. Ravi Shankar won the university's gold medal. After that, he attended GSVM Medical College in Kanpur, where he graduated at the top of his class and achieved recognition at the UPASICON conference.

His thesis work in DNACON earned him a silver medal and a spot on the shortlist for the Best Paper Award at the G.B. Pant Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education & Research (GIPMER), New Delhi, where he completed his basic neurosurgical training. He sought out advanced education in Neurosurgery, and he received it in Mumbai, Helsinki, and Sapporo. As Professor (Asst. ), Neurosurgery at Safdarjung Hospital & Vardhman Mahavir Medical College, New Delhi & Apollomedics Super Speciality Hospital, Lucknow, he performed groundbreaking procedures like high-flow EC-IC bypass and epilepsy surgeries to hone his expertise. Dr. Shankar has returned from Helsinki, Finland, where he completed a Fellowship in cerebrovascular and microneurosurgery.

Over the course of his 19-year neurosurgical career, he has won a number of awards. He has also given talks at numerous domestic and foreign conferences.
