Jaslok Hospital Mumbai, established in the late 60s, is among the country's oldest tertiary care, multi-specialty hospitals. On July 6th, 1973, the hospital was officially opened by the former Prime Minister, Mrs. Indira Gandhi.

Philanthropist Seth Lokoomal Chanrai founded this NABH-accredited hospital, which was established by the late Shantilal Jamnadas Mehta—an Indian surgeon, institution builder, and medical academic.

The hospital is a pioneer in the country, having the first triple-head gamma camera, the inaugural solid-state dedicated cardiac camera in Asia, and a 5-ring 16-slice PET-CT scanner. 

The hospital has more than 300 super specialists.

Patient rooms prioritize comfort, offering air-conditioning and amenities like nurse call systems, television, refrigerators, and telephone facilities during treatment.

It is the inaugural hospital in Mumbai to introduce 2D Echocardiography.
